This is Lakeridge Health!This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 18 December 2025 and closing at 11:59 pm on 31 December 2025.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the DRCC Pharmacy Manager, the Oncology Pharmacist is responsible for meeting the medication related needs of oncology patients within the Durham Regional Cancer Centre. Duties include supporting systemic therapy distribution, dispensing retail pharmacy prescriptions and oncology clinical trial medications, maintaining records and drug profiles, providing drug information support to the oncology team and providing education and support to oncology patients. In addition, the oncology pharmacist may participate in quality improvement initiatives, attend meetings as required and perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:*Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists or eligible for licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists;*Experience in an oncology pharmacy is preferred*Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred*Practical knowledge of pharmacology, current best practice clinical guidelines, and ability to interpret lab values (oncology related);*Strong clinical assessment skills in identifying and solving drug related problems;*Excellent medication counseling skills;*Demonstrated ability to research and provide drug information effectively to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team;*Motivated self-learner seeks and evaluates learning opportunities to enhance patient care and continuously strives to maintain professional competence;*Experience with Meditech, Kroll, and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred*Excellent organizational skills;*Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;*Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills;*Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and to assess situations and problems efficiently and effectively;*Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;*Must have a satisfactory performance record;*Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety, participation in regular in-service sessions;At Lakeridge Health, we value inclusion and diversity.
