Nutrition care services will be provided to the following programs: Complex Continuing Care, Rehabilitation, General Medicine and Surgery, Nephrology, Oncology, Maternal Child Services, Critical Care, Mental Health and Emergency. Ongoing evaluation and redistribution of caseload will be done to meet the needs of the inpatient population across Lakeridge and will be supported with mentoring and education. Registered Dietitians contribute to program planning, implementation and evaluation in a multidisciplinary team setting, supervise nutrition students and dietetic interns and have other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor degree with a major in Food and Nutrition and successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program or a recognized equivalent is required;* Eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario;* Recent clinical experience in an inpatient setting preferred.* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills;* Physically capable of performing the duties of the position and tasks including bending, turning, lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time;* Effective time management, organizational and problem-solving skills;* Able to work independently as well as co-operatively with peers and multidisciplinary team members; adapting to a changing environment and respond with initiative.* Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing education and learning.* Demonstrated effective teaching and counselling skills;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education sessions.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) .
