This individual's values will align with Lakeridge Health, and they will be able to work collaboratively as part of the broader Leadership Team. The Director of Capacity, Access & Patient Flow, is responsible for the organization and leadership of all aspects of Capacity, Access & Patient Flow, and enabling seamless transition points between hospitals and community at Lakeridge Health. This includes enabling patient care delivery, strategic and operational planning, human resource development, and financial management. The portfolio will include Patient Flow/bed booking office, Transition Management, Resource Float Pool, Capacity planning and Alternate Level of Care strategies & management, and after hours on call/operations supervisors. The incumbent will work closely and collaboratively with all levels of management, staff and external stakeholders including the Physician Leaders and Directors of all clinical programs, all relevant Chiefs of service and other internal stakeholders to support the LH strategic goals. They will ensure effective team work, implementation of the Capacity, Access & Patient Flow objectives, achievement of the targeted outcomes, and the effective and efficient use of resources within the program. QUALIFICATIONS: *A Master's Degree in a related discipline; *Registration with a professional college in Ontario in an applicable discipline; *10 years experience including significant leadership experience in a clinical field, working with large interdisciplinary teams required. *Extensive experience developing strong working relationships with executives and system partners; *Significant experience in the successful implementation, monitoring and tracking of clinical initiatives within a large hospital *Demonstrated ability to lead effectively and create a high performance culture that facilitates growth and development; *Proven ability to inspire others to work toward common goals by increasingly engaging and empowering them; *A proven track record of achieving results that improve the organization and inspire confidence and commitment; *Proven ability to critically analyze issues and utilize data to drive decisions; *Proven management skills including financial, human resources, quality improvement, change management, evaluation and planning; *Exceptional negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills; *Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; and, *Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.
