Sr Budget & Costing AnalystNon-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTH SENIOR BUDGET AND COSTING ANALYSTFINANCIAL SERVICESTEMPORARY FULL TIME Days - 8 hours (subject to change)Lakeridge Health CorporateSALARY - $41.217 to $51.514 per hourUNEX: 2100003632JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Manager, Financial Strategy and Performance, the Senior Budget and Costing Analyst works with all levels of healthcare management, including members of our senior team, to evaluate budget and clinical performance based on actual and forecasted costing. Formulate and develop budget assumptions, budget strategies, and generate decision support insights through in depth costing data that will inform strategic decision-making across all programs and services. The successful candidate will form a strong analysis and understanding of budgeting and costing data for all hospital portfolios; and will become a subject-matter expert for costing and budgeting data from the perspective of data and analyses needed to inform operational teams for decision making. The Senior Budget and Costing Analyst shows high level understanding of budgeting process, costing data to successfully aid in the build of the hospitals operating budget as well as delivering quality costing data analysis for appropriate support teams to make strategic operating decisions. QUALIFICATIONS:*University degree in business administration, commerce, health administration or a related discipline (an asset)*MIS level 1 and MIS level 2 (an asset)*Experience working with Budman, SAP (an asset) *Minimum of three to five years of experience with financial or clinical data and analysis in a healthcare setting, preparation of reports, performance measurement*Experience providing data and analytics advisory supports, including interpretation & strategic guidance*Knowledge and understanding of the use of financial and activity-based data in a healthcare setting;*Familiarity with general ledger, case costing systems, and the impact of coding (i.e. DAD, NACRS, WTIS) on financial and quality measures;*Experience working with analysis tools, e.g. CIHI, MIS and other Ministry tools*Experience in the preparation of technical reports, briefing notes, balanced scorecards and presentations of findings;*Experience identifying, planning, operationalizing and/or evaluating the implementation of new performance improvement strategies;*Demonstrated ability to work with an inter-disciplinary or multi-professional team to achieve results; *Well-developed organizational and analytical skills and proven ability to collaborate with other professional and technical departments, medical departments, programs and services;*Demonstrating initiative in the identification of new solutions to old problems and engaging colleagues;*Highly developed computer skills including significant experience with spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools;*Excellent verbal and written communication skills;*Responsive to time-sensitive data requests and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines;*Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;*Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participates in regular inservice education in this area;*Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard; *Must have a satisfactory performance recordCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) .
