OPSEULAKERIDGE HEALTHMEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGISTDIAGNOSTIC IMAGING REGULAR PART TIME JOB SHARE (50/50)8 hour shifts; Days/Evenings/Weekend/On-call Schedule; (subject to change)Lakeridge Health OshawaSALARY: $32.43 - $44.78 per hourOPSEU-2000002628DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centered care environment. The Registered Technologist will be responsible for the complete range of tests and procedures related to MRI exams, patient information registry and report preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as relevant. QUALIFICATIONS:* Current membership to the CMTRO membership;* Successfully passed the CAMRT certification exam in MRI;* Compatible to work in a MRI suite (in accordance with LHO screening form);* Successful completion of MRI Postgraduate education (Cross-sectional anatomy courses, cross-sectional anatomy imaging, contrast injection certification);* Proven demonstrated knowledge of all imaging modalities and photographic techniques;* Proven ability to use various imaging and ancillary equipment to provide high quality diagnostic images for the Radiologist;* Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;* Proven ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgement;* Physically capable of performing bending, lifting, turning frequently throughout the shift to accomplish tasks;* Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care;* Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations;* Recent hospital experience in a MRI suite, preferred;* Must have satisfactory performance record;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area; and;* Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) .
