Non-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTHINTEGRATED CANCER SCREENING (ICS) LEADDRCC CENTRAL EAST SCREENINGREGULAR PART-TIME8 HOUR; DAYS (subject to change)LAKERIDGE HEALTH OSHAWASALARY RANGE: $38.630 - $43.175 per hourUNEX - 2000002355DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Manager, Prevention & Cancer Screening and Clinical Genetics, the Integrated Cancer Screening (ICS) Lead works with a multidisciplinary team to successfully develop and implement cancer prevention & screening initiatives, and other key strategies and initiatives, across the Central East Regional Cancer Program (CE RCP). The ICS Lead works in close partnership with members of the CE RCP, regional communication leads, and mulitiple community stakeholders to achieve the goals of Ontario Health - Cancer Care Ontario (OH-CCO) and the CE RCP, including public and provider awareness of breast, cervical and colorectal cancer programs to increase cancer screening participaton rates. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the planning, project management and delivery of regional cancer prevention and screening strategies; leading and facilitating regional education and cancer screening health promotion activities; monitoring and evaluating the delivery of regional knowledge exchange activities and their impact on adoption of OH-CCO's cancer screening program and targets; providing education, orientation, training and support to screening and assessment sites related to cancer screening policies, practices, guidelines and quality assurance requirements; evaluating, monitoring, and analyzing quality and performance data indicators through auditing processes (i.e. OBSP audits) to ensure screening and assessment sites are meeting performance targets for the CE RCP; Monitoring system capacity and identifying local service delivery issues and developing strategies to address the gaps; providing regular performance reports and progress updates for planned cancer prevention and screening initiatives ; collaborating and sharing of best practices within the region and with primary care providers; managing/overseeing resources materials including maintenance and distribution to stakeholders; and developing grant proposals in response to identified funding opportunities for initiatives related to cancer screening. QUALIFICATIONS:*Undergraduate degree in an education, health science, and/or community health-related discipline;*Demonstrated experience with health promotion and primary prevention initiatives; *Project Management experience in a healthcare setting; *Demonstrated experience with public speaking and delivering presentation to groups of varying sizes;*Proven professional experience/leadership role in a health care setting;*Proven understanding of the complexities of the Ontario Cancer System, and the Ontario Cancer Plan; *Proven knowledge of CE RCP and the relevant stakeholders involved in cancer prevention and screening;*Ability to assess region-wide needs, analyze large data sets, formulate plans to address the needs, and the subsequent implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives; *Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills using evidence-based best practices;*Effective communication and interpersonal skills;*Ability to work in diverse environments; both collaborating and motivating multiple groups and stakeholders with varying levels of education, and skill set, while also working effectively on independent projects;*Effective organizational and time management skills;*Effective computer skills at an intermediate level (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher);*Must have a satisfactory performance record;*Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;*Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this area; and* Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard;CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
