In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain innovative Emergency Department practices that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:As a member of the Emergency (ED) team the Emergency Mental Health (ED MH) RN will report to the ER Manager and utilize nursing processes to provide a positive patient care experience in accordance with relevant legislations/standards while meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the nursing profession. The ED MH RN will oversee the care of mental health patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team within the ER. The ER Services ED MH will have the unique opportunity to gain Emergency experience coupled with mental health nursing and will maintain nursing records and other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:* Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing);* Critical Care/ER/PALS/TNCC Certificate, an asset;* B.Sc.N and ACLS, preferred;* Current B.C.L.S.;* I.V.
