We are currently seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Executive Vice President (EVP), Patient Services & Regional Vice President (RVP) Cancer Services to provide outstanding leadership and direction in assisting us to attain this goal.Reporting to the President & CEO, the EVP, Patient Services & RVP Cancer Services is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, accountable for contributing to the development and execution of strategic directions as well as oversight of operational effectiveness and financial stability while ensuring that service delivery is aligned with the Vision, Mission and Values of Lakeridge Health. As EVP, Patient Services this position is responsible for leading an extensive portfolio of Clinical Programs at Lakeridge Health including our Nephrology, Medicine, Women and Children's, Surgical, Post Acute Specialty Services, Mental Health and Addictions, Emergency and Critical Care, and Durham Regional Cancer Centre programs. In the role of Regional Vice President (RVP) Cancer Service, this position leads the Regional Cancer Program (RCP) and Integrated Cancer Program (ICP) at the Regional Cancer Centre/Host Hospital with an agenda that is based on the Ontario Cancer Plan and yearly priorities established by Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). Through leadership of the Regional Cancer Program, the RVP is responsible for driving improvements in the performance of the cancer system in the LHIN. Underlining your deep and broad strategic and operational capabilities, your passion and enthusiasm for providing the best patient and family care experience is what drives you.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Work in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team to advance the Hospital's strategic directions consistently across Patient Services;* Provide executive and operational leadership for a broad clinical portfolio which includes the Nephrology, Medicine, Women and Children's, Surgical, Post Acute Specialty Services, Mental Health and Addictions, Emergency and Critical Care, and Durham Regional Cancer Centre programs;* Mentor, coach, motivate and promote capabilities in the leadership team across the portfolio ensuring continuous development of direct reports and program management teams;* Ensure that organizational plans, priorities and initiatives are supported, implemented and sustained within the portfolio;* Champion a patient safety culture that supports quality patient care and patient and family experience and promotes a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization; * Manage internal and external stakeholder groups of varying complexities;* Operational management of human resources and finances;* Monitor ongoing strategic plans of the LHIN, OHA and the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care to find formal and informal opportunities of integration;* Advance external partnerships elevating Lakeridge's performance and reputation as a key partner in system-wide service planning and delivery;* Lead the improvement of clinical standards and advancing interprofessional collaboration, driving excellence in patient care;* Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to foster staff engagement in alignment with the Vision, Mission and Values;* Provide executive support to Board Committees as required;* Promote a culture that embodies or values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy.QUALIFICATIONS:* Master's Degree in Business Administration / Health Care Administration or a related discipline (Physician, Nursing, Allied Health, etc)is required ;* Significant relevant progressive experience successfully leading complex programs, projects and processes;* Senior management experience in the healthcare industry; * Knowledge of overall Hospital functions, specifically patient services and interprofessional collaboration;* Strong business acumen and proven success record with significant fiscal and staff accountability while maintaining strategic perspective;* Understanding of emerging trends in health care, including innovations in clinical practice models, patient access and technology;* Demonstrated senior leadership administrative experience with ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources in a complex health care environment;* Proven experience presenting complex and compelling cases to a diverse stakeholder group;* Established interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;* Leadership skills to influence outcomes and to balance often-conflicting and competing interests; * Strategic thinking to understand broad scale and longer-term goals and strategies and link to clinical operational plans;* Proven ability to make difficult decisions to drive transformation and continuous improvement;* Applied knowledge of change management techniques and demonstrated ability to lead change in a complex environment; * Proven experience in driving the patient and family care experience;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Lakeridge Health thanks all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
