In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain an innovative and strategic approach to Security and Emergency Preparedness that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health (LH). This position will play a key role in providing high quality Security support to Lakeridge Health client groups to achieve our vision and the objectives of Lakeridge Health's strategic direction.POSITION DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Infrastructure and Security-the Manager, Security and Emergency Preparedness is responsible for managing all corporate security/protection operations to include LH access control plus CCTV systems. The Security manager is dedicated to the safety and security of life and belongings of all client groups to include patients, visitors and employees of Lakeridge Health working together to make a secure, healing environment. While working collaboratively with all members of the health care team, the Security Manager will use effective planning, budgeting and problem solving skills to ensure: operational compliance with security services, emergency response, investigative plans and management of Security team. The Security Manager will implement emergency preparedness plans for safe evacuation procedures, communication techniques, conduct emergency drills to identify security hazards to improve security services and oversee parking enforcement. Security Professionals are instrumental in championing strategies to ensure adherence and compliance to law enforcement issues in a multi-site health care environment, as well as the Criminal Code of Canada and all pertinent legal statues within the province of Ontario.QUALIFICATIONS:" Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Business Administration, Security Management or related discipline;" Proven management skills including finance, human resources, quality improvement, project/change management and performance management skills;" Extensive management experience within healthcare security management or equivalent related experience in a criminal justice field;" Thorough knowledge of security CCTV, access control and fire/life safety systems as well as clinical application and medical technology;" Experience in technology planning, forecasting and asset management is also essential; proven critical/strategic thinking skills." Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with valuable members of interdisciplinary teams, community support system/services and various Community Service partners (ie.
