Non-UnionTitle: Senior Project LeadProgram Corporate Surgery Status: Temporary Full Time Shifts: 8 hour days with some evenings/nights (subject to change)Location: Lakeridge Health OshawaSalary: $45.826 - $49.927 per hourFile Number: UNEX-1900000014POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Director, Surgery and Ambulatory Care, the Senior Project Lead will work closely with Senior Leaders, Program/Department Directors, Medical Directors, Chiefs, Managers, Clinical Practice Leaders and the Central East LHIN to lead and manage the development and implementation of program based strategic projects and Ministry of Health mandated projects. They will guide and implement projects to integrate improvement and evidence based solutions/practice in and across the Surgical Program at Lakeridge Health to achieve the goal of excellence in the delivery of services/care. The Senior Project Lead will contribute to the evolution and implementation of program based priorities and sustainability strategies through the utilization of skills and attributes associated with improvement and project management in an integrated manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Lead the development and implementation of Rapid Assessment Clinics and Bundled Care for hip and knee replacement surgery, as informed by the Ministry of Health and the Central East LHIN;* Coordinate and lead the implementation of program based surgical growth strategies and improvements; * Utilization of available program and surgical efficiency data to inform and support strategic improvement projects;* Collaborate with organizations within the CELHIN to achieve a standardized approach to operationalizing Ministry of Health funded initiatives; * Lead and coordinate the implementation of Surgical Program strategic projects;* Communicate and engage stakeholders internally and externally;* Provide insight to the program leadership team regarding the impact of internal and external or environmental changes on strategic plans and initiatives;* Provide project management expertise to support to the execution, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting of program-wide initiatives;* Other duties as assigned;QUALIFICATIONS:* Undergraduate degree in a health related field; * Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent related experience associated with acute care programming, preferred;* Educational preparation in improvement, certificate in improvement or equivalent in the use of improvement methods and tools, preferred;* Demonstrated experience and understanding of strategic and/or program planning processes;* Demonstrated experience managing and executing complex projects, preferably within surgical programs;* Demonstrated expertise and experience related to indicators/performance metric monitoring and evaluation; * Demonstrated experience in the completion and evaluation of large projects;* Strategic and critical thinker, with strong facilitation and relationship building skills; * Highly developed judgement skills combined with tact and diplomacy;* Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships and to deal effectively with a wide range of diverse, interested and involved stakeholders;* Highly collaborative, teamwork oriented work style with ability to work independently with minimal supervision; * Excellent communications and presentation skills.
