Non-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTHJob Title: Manager, IT Project Design & ImplementationProgram: Information TechnologyStatus: Temporary Full TimeShifts: 8 hour days (subject to change)Salary: $47.51 - $59.39 per hourLocation: Lakeridge Health Corporate OfficePosting Number: UNEX-1800002691POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director, IT Strategy and Innovation, the role of the Manager, IT Project Design & Management is to lead a team of Sr. Project Managers, Project Managers and Analysts to successfully plan and execute IT projects that align with program and organizational goals. The manager plays an important role in project prioritization, scope definition, design and implementation as well as the hand-off of projects to operational teams for sustainability. The Manager will assist in the planning and management of the IT capital budget and be responsible for reporting on the status of the portfolio of projects to various stakeholder groups.This individual provides leadership and consults across the organization related to project management methodologies and change management activities, as well as provides input on a variety of decisions ranging from strategic decisions down to project plans. The Manager, IT Project Design & Management works closely with decision makers in IT and other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support innovative and cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the organization. The Manager is responsible for defining and implementing processes and policies, procedures, and best practices, including documentation standards, tools and reporting for the Project Office.The Manager, IT Project Design & Management provides administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the Project support team, schedules and directs activities to resolve project-related problems in a timely and accurate manner.REQUIREMENTS: * University degree or college diploma in computer science or related field and/or 5 or more years work experience in a hospital Information Technology environment;* University degree or college diploma in management or related field;* 5+ years successful leadership of a project team;* Proven management skills including financial, human resources, quality improvement, change management, and project planning and project management skills;* Proven experience in IT project planning and implementation;* Extensive experience with core Project Management tools;* Excellent project management skills;* Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives;* Proven critical/strategic thinking skills;* Superior verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language;* Well-developed negotiation and conflict management/resolution skills;* The capacity to quickly gain credibility through personal style, demonstrated knowledge and professionalism;* The capacity to nurture and mentor others;* Strong customer service orientation;* Highly self-motivated and directed;* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions, sometimes in emergency situations;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust; * Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area; and,* Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
