Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Status: Full Time
Schedule: Days/Evenings/Weekends/On-Call; 8 hour shifts (Subject to change)

Wage Schedule: $55.23 - $60.35 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist works within a collaborative team environment as an expert practitioner, consultant, leader and educator to advance medication safety and related clinical practice among Lakeridge Health colleagues. There is a strong professional practice component, and this leadership role facilities an environment which supports clinical excellence, continuous learning and outcome evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent entry-to-practice degree);
* Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists;
* Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy hospital practice, with experience in leadership roles;
* Advanced Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D) from a recognized university, an asset;
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, time management, leadership team skills, project management skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with health care professionals;
* Effective change management, organizational planning, assessment and evaluation skills;
* Demonstrated ability to lead effectively and create a high performance culture through management strategies that facilitates growth and development;
* Demonstrated knowledge of hospital functions and current trends in health care;
* Demonstrated knowledge in pharmacy clinical practice, key performance indicators, and applicable legislative requirements;
* Proven conflict management/resolution skills;
* Proven ability to problem-solve and critically analyze issues; and
* Understanding of Accreditation Canada and Ontario College of Pharmacists Hospital Inspection processes.
