In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain innovative support practices that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Director or Emergency, Critical Care and Prehospital Care program the Emergency Department (ED) Experience Specialist will work with the ED staff, leadership, patient experience representatives and organizational partners to develop strategies to improve staff and patient experiences. Duties and Responsibilities, for example but not limited to:* The ED Experience Specialist will partner with the clinical teams, external partners and our patients in the development of patient education materials, and satisfaction surveys* Perform environmental scan of current resources and supports needed to support staff and patient engagement* In partnership with the program leadership and interprofessional teams the ED Experience Specialist will be engaged in various process improvements across all 4 Lakeridge health emergency departments.* Reviewing trends and analysis of staff and patient feedback.* In collaboration with the managers the ED Specialist will plan, organize, and lead activities of the department including; supporting and promoting a culture of professional growth, responsibility, respect and safety; performance recognition; and instilling an appreciation for the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.* Participate in processes related to support involving investigating and resolving complaints; QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical Healthcare field is required;* Completion or in process of a Master's Degree; * Recent hospital experience required;* Membership in good standing within a Regulated Health Discipline;* Proven leadership skills with a track record implementing complex change initiatives;* Evidence of innovative leadership skills and proven ability to foster a collaborative team approach for decision making;* Understanding of patient relations; * Demonstrated experience with project management and process improvement initiatives; * Excellent interpersonal skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and harmony building with a participative/consultative style that cultivates consensus;* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all service client groups, multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external stakeholders; * Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work;* Demonstrated ability to effectively train, coach and mentor teams and leaders;* Excellent interpersonal, communication (presentation, written and verbal), critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills;* Demonstrated knowledge working with large, multisited organization with proven ability to act as a resource to various health professionals to ensure a positive client experience;* Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, analyze, share and interpret qualitative and quantitative data;* High proficiency with the MS Office programs;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust; and* Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standardCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Lakeridge Health thanks all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.If you are qualified for the above position, please apply online:https://careers.lakeridgehealth.on.caThe terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's Policy and Procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
