Registered Nurse - Surgical ProgramLAKERIDGE HEALTHPosition: REGISTERED NURSEDepartment: CORPORATE SURGICAL PROGRAMStatus: REGULAR AND TEMPORARY PART TIME Programs: PACU and ORSchedules: 4, 8 and 12 hour shifts; Days, Evenings, Nights and WeekendsSites Available: Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Ajax Pickering DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: PACUYour duties include assessing, planning implementation and evaluating nursing care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centered care environment. Using an advanced level of nursing practice and excellent observation skills, the PACU nurse monitors post-operative patient progress while recovering from local, regional, or general anesthesiaORYour duties will include immediate pre-operative, intraoperative and immediate post-operative care with regard to booked surgical procedures, assisting physicians, and other related duties.
