DeviceSto be deployed will include, but may not be limited to, desktop PCs, laptops and thin clients. The device deployment tech will be required to take part in the full cycle of activities surrounding device deployment from requirements gathering to user training.Job Duties:*Contribute to creating a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and others working in compliance with the hospital code of conduct and the provisions of health and safety policies and legislation*Gather user requirements for configuring and setting up devices*Map network drives, shared folders, and printers to complete user set up on deployed devices*Works collaboratively with the IT/project team to deploy end user computing devices throughout the organization.*Perform routine checks of IT assets (hardware / software), update asset management software to reflect new and changed devices*Deliver training to end users on new hardware *Prepare documentation and learning material for co-workers in the department*Other duties as requiredRequirements:*Community College Diploma in Computer Systems or equivalent*Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical items in a user friendly way that non-technical persons can understand*Experience training adults on computers and technology *Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities*Superior customer service *Proven knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft office products; knowledge of VMWare View an asset*Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Domain Services*Highly self-motivated and directed*Valid driver's license and use of car during work hours*Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust;*Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public. *Demonstrated understanding of and, commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety program and practices including staff, patient, and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this are;*Demonstrated pattern of good attendance and work recordCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
