Non-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTHTitle: Manager, Patient Flow Projects Program: Women's and Children's and Patient FlowStatus: Full Time Shifts: 8 hour days with some Evenings/Nights (subject to change)Location: Lakeridge Health All SitesSalary: $47.258 - $51.486 per hourFile Number: UNEX-1800000128POSITION SUMMARY:* Reporting to the Director, Women's and Children's and Patient Flow, the Manager of Patient Flow Projects will work closely with Senior Leaders, Program/Department Directors, Medical Directors, Chiefs, Managers, and Clinical Practice Leaders to lead and manage program based strategic planning, implementation and project management. For example, but not limited to: Support the development of program based goals and objectives, monitor the external environment to identify collaboration, funding opportunities and co-ordinate preparation of submissions;* Optimization of program and system based analytics to support planning and improvement priority setting; Guide and implement projects to integrate improvement, patient safety principles and evidence based solutions/practice in and across the operations of the W&C's and Pt Flow Programs at Lakeridge Health to achieve the goal of excellence in the delivery of services/care. For example, but not limited to: Maternal Child System based planning and partnering, Program based Accreditation related project design and implementation; * Program specific complex, quality programming; For example, but not limited to:o MOREoBo World Health Organization Baby Friendly designation* Contribute to the evolution and implementation of program based improvement sustainment through the utilization of skills and attributes associated with the fields of improvement and project management in an integrated manner. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Facilitate and lead the development of the program strategic plans including research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, environmental scanning, and issues analysis; * Communicate and engage stakeholders internally and externally;* Provide insight to the program leadership team regarding the impact of environmental changes on strategic plans and initiatives;* Coordinate and manage development of program goals and objectives setting process in alignment with organizational priorities;* Provide project management expertise to support to the execution, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting of program-wide initiatives;* Provide project tools, resources and training that aid in development of Project Management capacity and skills amongst the leadership team; * Facilitate the implementation of improvement activities and acts as a knowledge expert and resource to the program in the development and maintenance of quality improvement processes within the portfolio;* Other duties as assigned;QUALIFICATIONS:* Undergraduate and Master's degree or recognized equivalent in Health Care or Business Administration;* Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent related experience associated with Women's and Children's programming;* Educational preparation in improvement, certificate in improvement or equivalent in the use of improvement methods and tools;* 7-10 years recent, strategy development experience in a heath care environment;* Advanced understanding of strategic and program planning processes; * Demonstrated experience managing and executing complex projects, preferably within W&C's programming; * Demonstrated expertise and experience related to research, indicators/performance metric development, monitoring and evaluation; * Strategic and critical thinker, with strong facilitation and relationship building skills;* Demonstrated ability to effectively train, coach and mentor teams and leaders;* Highly developed judgement skills combined with tact and diplomacy;* Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships and to deal effectively with a wide range of diverse, interested and involved stakeholders;* Highly collaborative, teamwork oriented work style with ability to work independently with minimal supervision; * Excellent communications and presentation skills.
