The Hospital's annual operating budget exceeds $600 M.Job SummaryReporting to the Manager of HR Operations and Systems, the Human Resources Talent Acquisition and Client Associate works collaboratively with the hiring manager in developing recruitment strategies to ensure the best possible candidates are hired for vacancies within cross site portfolios. The HR Talent Acquisition and Client Associate will advise managers on the recruitment and selection process in accordance with collective agreements, hospital policy and applicable employment legislation, and will coordinate the full cycle recruitment and selection process including: job posting preparation, candidate screening, interviewing, temporary assignments, offer letters, contracts, accommodations and external advertising and sourcing.Job Duties* Ensuring all internal and external postings are accurate and in compliance with Hospital posting standards, legislative requirements and collective agreements;* Ensuring vacancies are considered for employees requiring modified work and/or accommodation prior to posting;* Advising and supporting managers through the recruitment process in accordance with respective collective agreements, Hospital policies, and applicable employment legislation;* Creating candidate lists for hiring manager for review;* Reviewing and screening resumes for specific and required qualifications;* Collaborating with the hiring manager in developing program specific recruitment strategies, as well as creating and revising job postings and interview tools;* Preparing relevant materials for interviews and participating on interview panels for internal and external interviews as required;* Working with Talent Acquisition Assistant to coordinate testing, interviews and reference checking;* Ensuring references are completed and reviewing references with hiring manager;* Presenting verbal and written offer of employment to successful candidate and negotiating offer when appropriate in consultation with the hiring Manager and/or the Director, Employee Relations, Operations and Systems;* Negotiating relocation allowance with potential new employees as required;* Coordinating on-boarding activities (health assessment, documentation, orientation);* Ensuring appropriate correspondence and follow-up with unsuccessful internal and external applicants;* Maintaining physical and electronic recruitment files and ensuring information is up to date in order to accurately capture recruitment activity;* Participating in career fairs as required;* Working closely with other Human Resources staff to ensure the department runs in a well-coordinated and professional manner;* Supporting the HR team in facilitating the placement of staff during the layoff process i.e. reassignment or redeployment as required;* Attending Step 2 grievance meetings and program meetings as required;* Providing coverage of HR Colleagues as required (HRIS data entry, documentation);* Providing guidance, direction and assistance to HR Assistant, Talent Acquisition Assistant and Employee Services Assistant;* Other duties and projects as assigned.Requirements* Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of both education and experience;* CHRP, or in progress (preferred);* Experience in the full-cycle recruitment and selection process;* Understanding of the issues and challenges related to recruitment and retention in a hospital and unionized environments;* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook;* Knowledge and experience with electronic applicant systems and HRIS;* Strong administrative and organizational skills;* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and work productively and independently with frequent interruptions;* Knowledge of collective agreements, an asset;* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service in this area* Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining the same standard.Salary:$30.66 - $35.378 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
