This position is open to OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing June 6, 2017 and closing at 11:59 pm on June 14, 2017.

This dynamic role will appeal to an individual who wants to be part of an enthusiastic, multi-site team; is committed to excellence and is passionate about engaging others to improve the hospital experience for patients and their families. In collaboration with colleagues and the Manager, this role will be responsible for all facets of the volunteer engagement cycle, for the administration of a very busy office environment as well as innovative program development. The candidate must have proven ability to work effectively with a diverse portfolio of volunteers, including the site Auxiliary, in support of the organizations’ mission and strategic priorities.

The individual must be adaptable to meet the changing needs of a healthcare environment with a focus on continuous improvement and developing collaborative and positive relationships.

*Bachelor degree and certificate in Volunteer Management are required
*Provincial certification in Volunteer Management preferred (PAVRO)
*3-5 years of related experience in volunteer management required; in a healthcare environment an asset
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
*Strong team-player, in a department that supports multiple hospital sites
*Excellent organizational, priority setting and time management skills
*Proven ability to resolve conflict and problem solve
*Ability to maintain pleasant and professional manner while dealing with multiple and competing work priorities
*Proficient in MS Office required; experience with volunteer management software an asset

Salary $27.331-$32.42
