Non-UnionInformation Technology Consultant -Software DeveloperInformation TechnologyTemporary Full-Time (8-hour days)Lakeridge Health(Primary Location Is Champlain, However Will Be Required To WorkAt Other Lakeridge Health Sites)UN.EX.-1600000593DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The role of the IT developer is to support users of the Hospital's IT systems by constructing, designing and testing custom software and data models as well as the continual maintenance and support of existing software applications. Working closely with other IT staff and the other Data Analysts in the organization the IT Developer plays a vital role in the IT support model.* Contribute to creating a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and others working in compliance with the hospital code of conduct and the provisions of health and safety policies and legislation* Works collaboratively with the IT team to complete IT Incident and Service Requests submitted by end users within the defined Service Level Agreement* Investigate and troubleshooting simple and complex software issues* Answer questions related to supported items within the IT environment* Works collaboratively with Data Analysts across the organization* Engages with business units to define scope and needs for data models and custom software applications* Prepare and deliver training to end users on newly developed IT systems and enhancements to existing systems* Assist in the evaluation, selection and implementation of new technology* Support and maintenance of SQL databases* Develop and maintain ETLs for data transfer to SQL* Creation of data reports through a variety of tools* Participate as a resource for IT projects* Coordinate with external vendors for required support on software tools* Prepare documentation and learning material for co-workers in the department* On-Call responsibilities on a rotational basis (based on need)* Other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:* Community College Diploma in Software Development or equivalent* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical items in a user friendly way that non-technical persons can understand* Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities* Superior customer service orientation* Proven knowledge and experience working with various programming languages, including Visual Studio, VB, .NET, HTML 5* Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL 2008 and above relational databases, SSIS and SSRS reporting* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft BI tools and Data Cube development* Experience with Meditech Magic is an asset (specifically Meditech Data Repository)* Experience in Healthcare is an assetSalary: $36.952 to $41.508 per hourCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
