Wage Schedule: $40.360 - $56.300 per hour

This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 23 July 2026 and closing at 11:59 pm on 30 July 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for patient assessment and the development of treatment plans, with emphasis on optimizing return to function. Actively participating in team conferences and regular team meetings. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* M.Sc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent;
* Registration (in good standing) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario;
* Certified/licenced to practice in Ontario;
* Previous experience working with patients who have suffered a stroke or who have neurological disorders preferred;
* Familiarity with wheelchair prescription and splinting preferred;
* Effective verbal and written communication skills;
* Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills;
* Ability to work well in an multi-disciplinary team;
* Ability to exercise initiative and observe strict confidentiality;
* Membership in CAOT, OSOT;
* ADP authorization for Mobility/seating/wheelchair is preferred;
* Must have a satisfactory performance record;
* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; and
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service in this area
