This is Lakeridge Health!DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Manager, Rehabilitation & Restorative Care provides leadership and operational oversight for the interdisciplinary Rehabilitation & Restorative Care Program at Lakeridge Gardens Long-Term Care. Working within the requirements of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, the Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centred rehabilitative and restorative care programs that promote independence, functional ability, quality of life, and person-directed outcomes. Key responsibilities include:* Providing leadership, direction, and support to the therapy team, including Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapist Assistants, Physiotherapists, Physiotherapist Assistants, and other rehabilitation professionals. * Leading the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of resident-centred rehabilitation and restorative care programs that support functional independence and align with legislative and accreditation requirements. * Promoting a culture of quality improvement, innovation, resident safety, and continuous learning while supporting accreditation readiness and organizational quality initiatives. * Managing human resources, operational planning, resource utilization, equipment, and departmental budgets to support effective program delivery. * Collaborating with interdisciplinary leaders, residents, families, essential care partners, and external stakeholders to enhance resident outcomes and support strategic organizational goals. * Championing staff development, engagement, wellness, and the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework while fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture. QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related regulated health profession. Masters preferred. * Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). * Several years of progressive experience within the Ontario long-term care sector. * Demonstrated leadership experience managing rehabilitation, restorative care, or allied health services within a long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare environment. * Strong knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and related legislation, standards, and best practices. * Demonstrated experience leading teams, change initiatives, quality improvement projects, and organizational transformation activities. * Knowledge of rehabilitation and restorative care practices, principles, and program development. * Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. * Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make complex decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems. * Membership with the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) is considered an asset. * Must have a satisfactory performance record. * Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy. * Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, resident and environmental safety.At Lakeridge Health, we value inclusion and diversity.
