We are seeking an experienced laboratory professional for the role of Manager Laboratory Medicine. You would lead a high-performing multi-site team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and innovative laboratory services. In this influential leadership role, you will help drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and evidence-based practices across our Laboratory Medicine Program.

Working closely with physicians, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in advancing patient-centered care while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Director, Laboratory Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging, the Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical services within Laboratory Medicine. You will provide strong leadership and operational oversight while supporting organizational priorities and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

" Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team in a high volume, fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment
" Being an unrelenting advocate for quality and the safety of our patients
" Driving operational excellence through effective planning, budgeting, process improvement, and resource optimization
" Championing evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery
" Inspiring and empowering teams to achieve shared goals while fostering a high-performance, inclusive workplace culture
" Collaborating with physicians, clinical teams, and stakeholders to strengthen interdisciplinary partnerships and improve patient experiences
" Supporting change management initiatives and implementing innovative solutions that improve efficiency and workflow
" Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare legislation, accrediting and licensing entities, standards, safety practices, and labour relations requirements

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is a strategic and collaborative healthcare leader with a passion for team development, patient care excellence, and innovation.

Qualifications include:

" ART or Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in a health-related field, Business Administration, or Health Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
" Master's degree completed or in progress preferred
" Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Ontario preferred
" Greater than 5 years progressive leadership or management experience, within Laboratory Medicine required
" Leadership in a multi-site healthcare setting preferred
" Sound knowledge of medical laboratory operations, laboratory information systems (LIS) and an awareness of new and emerging technologies and the impact they may have on the provision of laboratory services
" Demonstrated clinical, operational, financial, and human resource management expertise
" Experience with Lean methodologies, process improvement, and change management initiatives
" Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth
" Knowledge of healthcare trends, hospital operations, labour relations, and collective agreements
" Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
" Commitment to patient- and family-centered care, workplace safety, inclusion, and continuous learning
