Regional Housing CoordinatorRegional Housing CoordinatorDepartment: Regional Housing Coord.Program: Durham Mental Health ServicesStatus: Regular Full TimeDays - 8 Hour Shifts (Subject to Change)Location: Durham Mental Health ServicesWage Schedule: $33.740 - $45.480 per hourVacancy: 2400003642DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Director of Community Mental Health & Addictions, the Regional Housing Coordinator will establish and foster a positive working relationship with community partners to identify new and existing housing opportunities to ensure seamless integration of and access to housing and housing supports for clients within the Region. The Regional Housing Coordinator will attend community partner meetings related to housing and homelessness, and will provide regular updates to the Mental Health Leadership Team, and the program as a whole. " Works with community partners to develop an inventory of supportive regional geared to income housing in the region;" Works with local landlords to identify housing opportunities for clients;" Identifies ways to better connect and strengthen accessibility to housing stability programs and services;" Assists in development of strengthened eviction prevention program;" Liaises with community stakeholders and health care agencies to promote and advocate for supportive housing opportunities within the Region;" Represents DMHS on various community committees and/or meetings pertaining to housing service delivery and mental health issues;" Maintains confidentiality of all personal information, personnel matters, and financial information as per agency policies and applicable legislation;" Reports serious client concerns and/or complaint by the public to the Director, Community Mental Health, and Addictions, and assist in complaint resolution;" Promotes public awareness of the agency, and provide community partners, schools, and service groups with information about the program, through informal information exchange and formal presentations;" Works in compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act;" Plans and implements strategies to ensure that the long- and short-term goals and objectives of the program are met;" Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of services provided;" Participates in professional development activities to maintain competency in field of practice or area(s) of expertise."
