Coding Quality AnalystCoding Quality AnalystHealth Information Management - Abstracting Regular Full TimeDays - 8 Hour Shifts (Subject to Change)Lakeridge Health Corporate OfficeSalary: $37.171 - $42.928 per hourUNEX 2300002160DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Manager, Coding and Data Quality, the Coding Quality Analyst (CQA) will be responsible for day to day operations related to coding and abstracting. The CQA will perform regular audits on coding/abstracting to ensure quality with adherence to coding/abstracting standards. In addition, the Coding Quality Analyst will contribute to the hiring, training, orientation and monitoring of new coding staff as well as develop and deliver education on coding related matters, Quality Based Procedures and case mix groups (HIGs & CACs) to the larger coding team. The CQA will maintain the integrity of the various systems; carrying out technical functions involving Epic, 3M, Med2020 and CIHI specifically by maintaining the integrity of the dictionaries on the systems, coordinating and processing corporate month end for CIHI submissions plus scheduling and downloading upgrades/updates to 3M. The Coding Quality analyst will support the Health Information Management (HIM) quality program by bringing forward quality concerns, potential solutions while developing and monitoring quality indicators for coded data. The CQA will liaison with various multidisciplinary client groups plus external vendors and stakeholders, other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS:" Certification with active membership in CHIMA;" Significant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience performing similar Coding Quality Analyst duties within a related HIM environment;" Proven knowledge of Canadian Coding Standards, Ontario MOH Coding Directives, CIHI, DAD, NACRS Abstracting standards; NRS and CCRS submissions." Demonstrated knowledge of ICD/CCI-10-CA coding methodology;" Knowledge of the following methodologies; case mix group (CMG+); resource intensity weights (RIW); comprehensive ambulatory care classification system (CACS) and Quality Based Procedures."
