OPSEULAKERIDGE HEALTHOCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTMENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTIONS PROGRAM INPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH - 3W LHAP & C4 LHOTEMPORARY FULL TIME - 12 MonthsSCHEDULE: 8 Hour Days Shifts(Subject to change)SALARY: $40.36 - $56.30 per hourLAKERIDGE HEALTH AJAX-PICKERING/OSHAWAOPSEU - 2300001405DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Working within a multidisciplinary team the Occupational Therapist will be responsible for developing, improving and sustaining or restoring skills in activities of daily living, work or productive activities, and play or leisure. Develop, remediate, and restore sensorimotor, cognitive, or psychosocial components of performance. To provide training, educational and consultative services to staff, students, community and academic institution. To participate in research and program evaluation projects. Assist in identifying clients' needs by providing Occupational Therapy assessments. The Occupation Therapist will also determine treatment goals and developing individual treatment plans in collaboration with client their families, their support group and the treatment team. ; implementing interventions utilizing specific media and selected activities in a group setting or individually; environmental adaptations; counselling; skill teaching; evaluating, adjusting, modifying or terminating treatment plans where appropriate; providing crisis intervention; maintaining accurate clinical records according to established standards. Maintaining occupational equipment in safe working order and recommending acquisition of equipment and supplies.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:* M.
