Status: Full Time; 8 hour days (subject to change)
Salary: $39.406- $44.043 per hour

Position Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Strategy Development, the Strategy Associate will be responsible for supporting strategic planning activities including research, data analysis and technical support to assist with determining hospital plans and priorities. The Strategy Associate will also provide support for governance relations through involvement in governance change and transformation to ensure the integration and coordination of all governance relations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supports planning and activities to contribute to the development of the Annual Business Plan, Strategic Plans, analysis and research of hospital systems;
* Provides support to analyze robust stakeholder engagement data (both internal and external) to assist in recommendations on planning approaches and opportunities to better serve our communities;
*Supports the Board and governance structure through the implementation of core annual Board processes and programming;
* Understands and uses appropriate data collection analyses of quantitative and qualitative data to identify gaps and make recommendations on planning priorities;
* Stays current on best practices and methodologies in health care planning to identify and recommend best planning approaches;
* Contributes to written communications, including Senior Management Team, Board of Trustees and Committee work, presentations, analytical documents, Project Management tools and reports;
* Supports the Corporate Strategy Team with collaboration amongst program/department leaders for strategy implementation;
* Provides Project Management support to the team to execute, manage, implement, monitor and report strategic and organization-wide initiatives;
* Manages relationships across and within stakeholder and partner groups, both internally and externally.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or recognized equivalent in health administration, health planning, business, communications or relevant field;
* 3-5 years hospital-based experience;
* Excellent project management skills;
* In-depth understanding of the Ontario health-care system, hospital sector, programs and challenges;
* Data analysis (qualitative and quantitative) in a health-care environment;
* Experience in Governance Relations and the Board of Trustees;
* Superior oral and written communication skills to prepare and deliver presentations and reports;
* Demonstrated effective analytical and problem solving skills;
* High proficiency with the MS Office suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS PowerPoint;
* Must have a satisfactory performance record;
* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service in this area; and
* Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard.
