In this position, you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain innovative best practices that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health.POSITION DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Manager Security and Emergency Preparedness, the major focus of the Emergency Preparedness Specialist will be to ensure the development, implementation and sustainability of the Lakeridge Health Emergency Management & Business Continuity Programs. This includes planning, project and program emergency response plans, training, education and engagement, exercise design, execution and support to include liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders. This role will work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to ensure emergency and business impact analysis continuity plans, including fire safety, pandemic and disaster planning remain current and incorporate current best practices. Travel with some on-call coverage required.QUALIFICATIONS:*Bachelors of Disaster and Emergency Management (BDEM) and/or related equivalent education /experience;*Recent related experience in both Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity, preferably in a healthcare environment;*Emergency Management Training Certification;*Certification and/or Equivalent experience/knowledge with; Incident Management System IMS 100/200/250 Office of the Fire Marshall and Emergency Management; Fire Safety Plan Development; Fire Alarm System; Fire safety training for employees of care and treatment Occupancies; Emergency Management levels 125 and 131; Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Codes in Ontario; Healthcare Disaster Planning and Recovery; Business Continuity Plan development; *Proficient with Microsoft Office computer programs, Meditech and mobile devices;*Experience in technology planning, forecasting and asset management with proven critical/strategic thinking skills.*Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with valuable members of interdisciplinary teams, community support system/services and various Community Service partners (ie.
