CUPELAKERIDGE HEALTHSTAFFING CLERK CENTRALIZED STAFFING OFFICETEMPORARY PART TIMEDays/Evenings/Nights/Weekends Schedule; 12, 8, and 4 hour shifts (subject to change)LAKERIDGE HEALTH OSHAWASALARY: $29.00 - $30.63 per hourCUPE - 2100000701 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Staffing Clerk will coordinate overall scheduling and staffing of staff, including RN's, RPN's, new grads, clerks and PSWs. Other responsibilities include: maintaining seniority lists, call-in sheets, overtime sheets and disaster lists; printing computer reports, preparing payroll sign-off; creating and maintaining electronic scheduling; creating, populating and maintaining access data; communicating with the appropriate Clinical Leaders any staffing issues or concerns; entering bi-weekly computerized payroll, ensuring accurate coding; answering the telephone, directing and taking accurate messages and forwarding them to the appropriate personnel; and, performing a wide range of clerical duties necessary for the efficient functioning of the Centralized Staffing Office.QUALIFICATIONS:*Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience;*Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset;*Accurate keyboarding skills minimum of 35 w.p.m. (tested);*Working knowledge of Microsoft Word at a basic level (tested);*Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level (tested);*Proven proficiency in Meditech including staff scheduling and payroll;*In-depth knowledge and understanding of the CUPE and ONA collective agreements;*Proven sound knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures;*Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions;*Effective written and verbal communication skills;*Effective organization, prioritization and time-management skills;*Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills;*Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;*Must have a satisfactory performance record*Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area;*Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) .
