Non-UnionProject Manager (one year contract)Department: Capital Planning & DevelopmentStatus: Temporary Full Time Schedule: 8 hour day schedule (subject to change)Site: Lakeridge Health CorporateSalary: $48.827 - $61.034 per hour UNEX-2100000167JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Senior Manager, Project Delivery, the Project Manager will manage the planning, execution, control and closure of assigned capital projects within approved budgets and schedules from start to finish and in accordance with best practices and the Project Management Institute Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). This position will provide leadership, guidance and support to the project team and may interface with the Ministry of Health (MoH), Infrastructure Ontario (IO), project consultant, Lakeridge Health staff across multiple Program areas, and community stakeholders.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *Ensures that scope control, quality and timeliness of product, and all relevant procedures are rigorously followed; *Identifies Project Stakeholders and ensures that their expectations are managed and met throughout the project stages considering budget and scope. *Collaborates with and facilitates healthy dialogue with LH physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff, and management, to formulate clear understanding of project scope/functional programs, sketch design, FF&E requirements, and other scope details (e.g., phasing, operational continuity);*Coordinates work of consultants and ensure that stakeholders input and expectations are incorporated in the final project for sign off; *Follows all internal funding approval processes, reviews all project related invoices and recommends payment for processing;*Develops the initial capital project budget, based on the Program End User needs, regularly monitor project development/scope against approved budget, and manages scope within approved budget. *Assists the Program in the Capital Funding approval processes by preparing project costs, schedule and other major components of the capital project including inputting into corporate project and finance systems.*Assists and coordinate project procurement with Plexxus, including project specific equipment;*Ensures that the project is well documented and that project records are maintained and comply with all requirements of LH Records Management and MoH Capital Planning Process;*Coordinates project hand-over / commissioning process through the use of in-house and external resources to ensure that projects open on time, in an organized manner, and meet all project operational goals and patient safety requirements;*Attends all project meetings as required; and,*Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Senior Manager of Project Delivery and other tasks that may be required to ensure that the Capital Planning & Development Department collectively meets its Corporate goals, priorities and performance standards.*Participates in Capital Planning and Development team engagement initiatives, consistently reflects Lakeridge Health's Values and Code of Conduct in all interactions, and works collaboratively with all other departments and stakeholders; QUALIFICATIONS:*Degree / Certificate in Architecture, Engineering, Architecture and / or Engineering technology or equivalent post-secondary degree, diploma or combination of education and work experience;*Experience with MoH Capital Approval Processes is considered an asset.*Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, Power Point and CAD;*Significant recent progressive experience in the health care sector project management and delivery ;*Related experience/knowledge of health care capital projects in a variety of sizes and complexities; *Experience and knowledge of building infrastructure systems *Experience working collaboratively with Engineering department(s) , Information Technology, Finance and Procurement in order to ensure project implementation success;*Experience in facility/space planning of large complex facilities;*Significant experience in project management with a health care focus;*Expert level knowledge of MoH Capital Planning Guidelines, IO Alternative Financing Procurement Guidelines, legislation and regulation covering Ontario Hospital's Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Worker's Compensation Act, WHMIS and other related Acts/laws impacting construction within a health care setting;*Fundamental understanding of strategic and program planning processes;*Strong facilitation skills along with sound team building skills and demonstrated capabilities of working within a collaborative team environment. *Demonstrated sound judgement, negotiation, consensus building and conflict resolution skills in dealing with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups. *Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all staff and physicians, stakeholders and consulting professionals;*Demonstrated creativity, ingenuity, tact and diplomacy;*Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering professional presentations to stakeholders;*Experience in project financial management and analytical skills with proven ability to manage resources and financial budgets;
