Lakeridge Health's dedicated team of more than 5,400 employees, 760 physicians and 1,500 volunteers provide care to the more than 650,000 people living and working in Durham Region.Position Description:Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Communications, the Manager, Corporate and Internal Communications will have expert knowledge in developing internal communications strategies that inform, engage, motivate and inspire employees and build a culture of engagement.Working directly with the Senior Director, the Manager will ensure the integration and coordination of strategic internal communications programs and activities that support Lakeridge Health's Annual Business Plan and strategic objectives. Leveraging a strong background in strategic internal communications in complex, decentralized and fast-paced organizations, the successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor, and develop and execute on communications plans and initiatives in support of Lakeridge Health's strategic priorities. The candidate will also manage all internal communication channels. In addition to exemplary writing skills, the candidate must also possess superior strategic thinking skills, sound judgement and diplomacy to help navigate issues and effectively support the organization's senior leaders. Develop and execute on strategic internal communications plans that support Lakeridge Health's strategic initiatives, including internal events, presentations, special project management, collateral and background materials, and other internal communications materials." Provide strategic communications counsel to the Senior Management Team and managers regarding the delivery of internal communications initiatives and/or programs." Manage Lakeridge Health's centralized internal communications calendar and oversee internal communications initiatives through project scoping, expectations management and timeline development." Oversee internal communications to ensure consistency across the organization in terms of key messages, alignment with Lakeridge Health's strategic priorities, brand, and the appropriate timing of delivery." Develop and manage all intranet and other digital related internal communications strategies." Develop and implement an internal communications protocol and guidelines to ensure consistency with the organization's visual identity and overall brand standards." Proactively identify potential internal issues and take action to avoid, mitigate and/or provide recommendation to manage the issue.Qualifications:" Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline." Five to seven years of progressive experience in developing and measuring the effectiveness of internal communications strategies in a complex and decentralized environment" Experience working in health care" Experience working in a hospital is an asset" Highly strategic with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work with singular focus and minimal direction." Outstanding and versatile written communications skills - creative and technical." Strong verbal and presentation abilities." Strong team player." High level of administrative skills, including strategic and critical thinking, planning, research, project management, special events planning and coordination, time management and problem-solving skills."
