NON-UNIONLAKERIDGE HEALTH Position Title: Organizational Learning and Development ConsultantDepartment: Human Resources Reports To: Director, Talent Management, Organizational Development and Strategy Status: Full Time; 8 hour day schedule (subject to change)Salary: $34.39 - 43.52 per hourPosting #: UNEX-1900000132Job Summary:The Organizational Learning and Development Specialist partners with the Director, Talent Management, Organizational Development and Strategy to identify learning needs at a strategic and program level to provide instructional design solutions that meet business demands. The Organizational Learning and Development Specialist will utilize seasoned expertise and best practice methodologies in learning design to plan, design, develop, deliver, implement, facilitate, and evaluate employee and leader development initiatives and programs in order to enable and drive efficiencies, organizational performance and to meet legislative and regulatory compliance. The Organizational Learning and Development Specialist will act as consultant on eLearning education initiatives and educational technology and provide eLearning instructional design support for quality assessment in a decentralized eLearning development environment. The Organizational Learning and Development Specialist will support leadership development, team/staff development, management coaching, management/staff relations, and special learning events that bring focus to planning, forecasting and implementing strategies that reflect current and future trends in healthcare, management development, and organizational effectiveness in learning design.Job Duties:Leadership Development* Support the development and implementation of an organization wide competency based learning strategy that provides the framework for the enhancement of skill and knowledge progression paths for all levels of leaders, including partnering with other internal and external partners to provided varied content in alignment with the organization's strategic priorities;* Design, develop and implement leadership development programs in support of the Lakeridge Health's Leadership Development roadmap including; management essentials, developing leader and experienced leader, utilizing best practice learning modalities and methodologies;* Design, implement and support learning/development, coaching/mentoring best practice tools and resources as it relates to performance management;* Conduct needs analyses, research, design, and maintain leadership and organizational development curriculum that focuses on enhancing leadership capabilities, healthy work environment, developing capacity for change and growth, employee engagement and team building.Learning and Development, Facilitation and e-Learning * Analyze training and performance needs/problems and suggest solutions; support the identification, development and implementation of program and department learning initiatives that are aligned with the organization's strategic plan;* Identify and apply appropriate adult learning principles and instructional design techniques based on department/organizational objectives and learning strategy;* Design, develop, promote, implement and facilitate learning programs, materials and resources delivered through various channels including in-class facilitation, webinars, webcasts and other eLearning solutions;* Source and negotiate learning content/curriculum with subject matter experts and project manage the development and delivery of the content;* Collaborate with and source relevant learning content from subject matter experts, business partners, and peers to align training development with desired outcomes and ensure all material is relevant, accurate and engaging;* Develop and support the evaluation of training by establishing evaluation criteria, observing, measuring, testing, reviewing, analyzing and reporting on training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively. Gather and analyze data to identify opportunities to improve/enhance learning experiences;* Create and maintain on the job aids and learning tools such as documentation, videos, aids, scenarios, etc.to support training and reinforce learning;* Serve as a technology education resource within the department and across the organization, and partner with peers across LH to leverage best practices and ensure collaboration of training requirements;* Utilizing seasoned experience and best practices in e-learning design, develop criteria for determining the appropriateness of educational content for online delivery;* Act as organizational lead in e-learning design and quality assurance in decentralized eLearning development environment;* Advise on the overall framework, design, strategy of courses, ensuring alignment with learning needs; collaborate to establish objectives and goals of learning programs;* Design end-to-end learning solutions in a variety of blended delivery methods (e.g. in-class facilitations, eLearning, etc.); * Develop engaging content that encourages active learning, retention and improved performance on the job in alignment with eLearning development best practices and LH guidelines;* Provide leadership in the design, development, implementation, support and evaluation of the eLearning Program;* Research and suggest solutions to select/implement/connect/manage educational tools and technologies.Additional Responsibilities* Assess training needs related to mandatory and legislative requirements by consulting with subject matter experts in order to ensure content accuracy. Maintain compliancy records and determine reporting needs for the organization;* Develop guidelines and standards for learning content and generate reports and analysis related to eLearning from the Learning Management System;* Monitor best practices and identify trends in the field of Learning and Development, Organizational Development and eLearning Education in health care by networking with other hospitals, joining industry associations, etc. and find opportunities to partner with and learn from health care leaders;* Identify and implement ways to make training programs and processes more effective and efficient.Qualifications:* University degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related subject. Master's degree an asset;* A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in adult learning principles and methodologies (needs assessment, instructional design and development, delivery, evaluation, measurement methodology), change management methodologies, eLearning curriculum development, and leadership development; * Strong working knowledge of current research, issues, and trends in adult learning, professional development, and eLearning education and educational technology;* Seasoned experience working with technologies/applications including eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate and Learning Management Systems;* Demonstrated computer proficiency including advanced skills with MS Office applications;* Identify, source or partner with technical or third party resources to ensure appropriate design and development solution;* Knowledge of online copyright and data protection laws, and accessibility guidelines;* Superior interpersonal skills; excellent presentation, group facilitation and communication (verbal and written) skills;* Excellent organizational and time management skills; strong project management skills with proven ability to successfully manage timelines, milestones, and critical paths with minimal supervision;* Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders and build credible collaborative relationships;* Strong customer service focus with the ability to work successfully in a team setting or independently;* Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; * Proven ability to develop and implement programs to all levels of the organization, up to and including senior leaders;* Proven to be a dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence; * Demonstrate positivity and values respect for others, diversity, trust, courage and innovation;* Hold self and others accountable, be highly collaborative and promote teamwork;* Approach problems logically, under pressure and seek innovative solutions; and,* Ability to work flexible hours based on project and work and demands.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
