Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals give their all every day to improve the quality of care delivered, increase access to service and improve patient outcomes.POSITION DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the EVP, Chief Transformation Officer, the Strategic Transformation Coordinator provides administrative and strategic support to the EVP. The role is accountable for the coordination of a range of tasks, from the creation of documentation and presentations to attendance at meetings on behalf of the EVP. The role serves as an extension of the executive he/she supports with the aim of maximizing performance for the organization. This role will facilitate resolutions of multiple problems, delivery of strategic projects including and acting as a liaison with numerous internal and external stakeholders and government officials. The role is open to constant challenge and change in a fast-paced environment.The Strategic Transformation Coordinator is a critical role within the portfolio and focused on enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of the EVP. The coordinator works with other team members to support smooth operations of the portfolio; including governance and project management of the strategic functions. This position requires an individual with exceptional critical thinking skills, initiative, strong organizational and communication skills, and an appetite for learning. Understanding of government legislation as it relates to health care, stakeholder management, and relationship building is critical. To excel, this individual must also be flexible and embrace opportunities to get involved with initiatives related to all aspects of the portfolio, including capital planning, information technology and virtual care, public relations, corporate communications, government relations, and corporate strategy. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provide direct support to the EVP, Chief Transformation Officer with preparations for upcoming meetings; by conducting research, analyzing data and gathering relevant information and developing high-level strategic documentation and presentations;* Develop presentations, research, and preparation of briefing notes and memos for various internal and external audiences based on the direction of the EVP or other leaders within the portfolio;* Conduct secondary research and link with external partners and experts to obtain information and tools to support project activities; * Engage with members of the Decision Support team to obtain and analyze activity and performance data/information to inform strategic decision making; * Work with other members of the team to support the planning and execution of internal and external events that are managed by the Strategic Transformation portfolio; * Support the day-to-day operations of the Strategic Transformation portfolio;* Oversee the management of the EVP's calendar to maximize the effective use of time;* Manage the ordering of supplies, repair of minor equipment, and other administrative duties within the portfolio; and* Participate in meetings with the broader Strategic Transformation Department and support members of the team to achieve departmental priorities and objectives.REQUIREMENTS:* Degree in Policy, Communications, Business or Healthcare Administration or equivalent required. * Five years' experience in healthcare or business environment required; or recent Master's graduate;* Experience working in a hospital environment is considered an asset;* Experience in Governance Relations and the Board of Directors required;* Project management required; * Ability to prioritize portfolio initiatives and to assist leadership and staff;* Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with the all areas of the department and related external organizations; * Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff within the organization and external groups in writing, verbally and by email;* Strong organizational skills to ensure processes are set-up according to the needs of the team for schedules, reporting;* Requires initiative in planning meetings ensuring the appropriate stakeholders are in attendance;* Ability to solve problems and propose recommendations where solutions require some creativity; * Good analytical skills and the ability to create and proofread documents, prepare reports; * Intermediate level skills (tested) with office software Outlook - calendar management, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and time systems; * Flexible to multi-task and meet the needs of the portfolio;* Demonstrated an understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service sessions;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust; and,* Proven good attendance record with the capability of maintaining this same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies for non-union and management staff.Lakeridge Health thanks all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.If you are qualified for the above position, please apply online:https://careers.lakeridgehealth.on.ca Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
