Patient Care ManagerStatus: FTFile Number: 1800000868Location: OshawaWage Schedule: $50.102 - $62.627 per hourProgram: Medicine Division CorporateDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Patient Care Manager (PCM), Medicine LHO reports to the Clinical Director, Medicine Program. This position is responsible for the management of the clinical units Medicine (G5), Cardiology (OC7), and Acute Cardiac Unit (ACU). While working collaboratively with all members of the health care team, the PCM will use their effective planning, budgeting and problem solving skills to ensure the development of unit processes, the effective management of staff, the achievement of business goals including increased operational efficiencies and optimization of the interdisciplinary team functioning. As well, the PCM will facilitate and support the implementation of evidence based practice to achieve excellence in high quality delivery of patient care.The PCM is required to have personal drive and the need to achieve results. These results are achieved by working diligently and engaging others to accomplish the desired outcomes. The PCM sets goals that maximizes the use of resources and has a strong ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal through their ability to engage and empower others.
