Non-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTHPROJECT MANAGER, SMART PUMPSINTER-PROFESSIONAL PRACTICETEMPORARY FULL TIME (Approx 9 months)8 Hour Day Shifts (subject to change)Lakeridge Health Oshawa with cross site responsibilities to Bowmanville, Port Perry, Whitby, and Ajax/PickeringSALARY $48.085 - $52.387 per hour based on a 37.5 hour weekUNEX-1800000791JOB SUMMARY:The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planning and implementation of smart infusion pumps (large volume and patient controlled analgesia) at Lakeridge Health sites according to budgeted implementation plan.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Create a workplan for smart pump implementation across selected sites;* Lead a working group and participate on a steering group;* Work collaboratively with a project manager from the vendor company;* Work with a broad group of stakeholders, primarily pharmacy, nursing and prescribers, to develop a drug library for the smart pumps;* Work with the vendor and impacted clinical programs to create an educational plan for smart pumps that meets established deadlines;* Work with the vendor and impacted clinical programs to create a supportive plan for go-live;* Work with pharmacy and biomedical engineering to ensure pumps, pump software and drug libraries are ready for the day of go-live;* Work with supply chain services to ensure IV pump consumables are switched out on units for the day of go live;* Provide communication to stakeholders in the organization along the way;* Ensure mechanisms are in place to evaluate implementation success throughout the process.REQUIREMENTS:* Registration with the College Of Nurses of Ontario;* Diploma in Nursing; BScN preferred;* Experience with project management/planning;* Experience with smart pumps implementation, or other clinical technology equipment implementation preferred;* Experience with broad organizational, multi-department implementations preferred; * Experience leading a working group;* Understanding of smart pump drug libraries;* Strong organizational and communication skills;* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust;* Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public; * Demonstrated understanding of and, commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety program and practices including staff, patient, and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this area; and,* Demonstrated pattern of good attendance with the capability of maintaining the same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
