Non-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTHRESEARCH ETHICS BOARD (REB) COORDINATOR RESEARCH PROGRAMFULL TIME8 HOUR DAYS; Subject to ChangeLAKERIDGE HEALTH OSHAWAUNEX-1800000368DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:The Research Liaison provides support and coordination to the Research Program to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Research portfolio. The position is a combination of administrative and research ethics and regulatory functions. The Research Liaison is responsible for coordinating the submission, review, revision and approval of research studies by the Lakeridge Health Research Ethics Board (LHREB) and the confirmation of researcher qualifications, REB invoicing and payment reconciliation, and the daily maintenance of electronic study files and databases. The Research Liaison also works with the Research Manager to facilitate the department impact assessment process, and contract execution. This position works with the research teams to ensure that researchers obtain and maintain ethics approval for human participant research in accordance with hospital policies as well as national and international guidelines. The Research Liaison effectively liaises with external and internal contacts of all levels and supports the LHREB Chair and volunteer REB members.QUALIFICATIONS:*Proven office administration experience with a strong research focus; *Research ethics related experience required;*Familiarity with the Tri-Council Policy and the Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Human Subjects;*Knowledge and understanding of the ethics review process;*Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook (tested); *Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with numerous internal and external contacts;*Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills in order to effectively manage numerous requests from multiple sources within strict deadlines;*Sound problem solving skills and strong initiative to take appropriate actions;*Proven ability to diplomatically exercise independent judgement;*Demonstrated ability to work productively and independently with frequent interruptions;*Highly detailed, excellent attention to detail and results oriented;*Strong interpersonal skills; *Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust;*Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and participation in regular in-service education sessions; and,*Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard.SALARY: $25.656 to $30.005 per hourCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
