The Strategy Management Consultant will liaise with members of the Senior Management Team (SMT), individuals across the organization and external stakeholders. This role is instrumental in informing the decisions of SMT and helping to align all areas of the organization to Lakeridge Health's corporate priorities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provide direct support to the President and CEO and members of the Senior Management Team on organizational priority projects and strategies.* Organize and facilitate annual business planning activities to support the development and communication of clear organizational priorities, initiatives and associated measures of performance.* Conduct secondary research and link with external partners and experts to obtain information and tools to support project activities and inform decision making.* Provide project management expertise to support to the execution, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting of strategic and organization-wide initiatives.* Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations, briefing notes and planning documents to support the Senior Management Team.* Engage with members of the Decision Support team to obtain and analyze Lakeridge Health activity and performance data/information.* Participate in meetings with the Strategic Communications Department and support members of the team to achieve departmental priorities and objectives.* Facilitate the development of the organization's strategic plan including research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, environmental scanning, and issues analysis. * Coordinate the development and approval of the annual Quality Improvement Plan, (QIP).* Monitor the external environment to identify collaboration, funding opportunities and co-ordinate preparation of submissions.* Communicate written and verbally regarding the status and achievements relative to the strategic plan, and strategic initiatives. * Develop and maintain the Corporate Calendar.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:* Undergraduate, Master's degree or recognized equivalent in Health Care or Business Administration (preferred disciplines);* 3-5 years hospital-based experience required* 3-5 years knowledge of Project Management methodologies and Change Management approaches* 3-5 years understanding of strategic/business planning processes and approaches to developing strong stakeholder buy-in* 3-5 years ability to analyze and interpret healthcare performance data/informationQUALIFICATIONS:* Thorough understanding of strategic/business planning processes and approaches to developing strong stakeholder buy-in * Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, practices and tools * Demonstrated clinical engagement, change management and risk management expertise * Strategic and critical thinker, with strong facilitation and relationship building skills * Strong leadership abilities * Ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently * Superior interpersonal, communications and presentation skills and ability to successfully build relationships * Demonstrated effective analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare performance data/information * Secondary research skills (using academic and grey literature sources) * Proactive work approach * Strong writing skills for both executive and public audiences* High proficiency with the MS Office suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Powerpoint* Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area* Proven good attendance with the capability of maintaining the same standardCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies for non-union and management staff.Lakeridge Health thanks all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.If you are qualified for the above position, please apply online:https://careers.lakeridgehealth.on.ca Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
