Non-UnionProject ManagerPosting #: UNEX-1700000321Department: Capital Planning & DevelopmentStatus: Full Time Primary Location: Lakeridge Health OshawaSalary Range: $53.239 - $57.626 per hourThis position is open to all qualified candidates commencing February 16, 2017 and closing at 11:59pm on February 24, 2017.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Director, Capital Planning & Development, the Project Manager will manage the planning, execution, control and closure of assigned capital projects within approved budgets and schedules from start to finish and in accordance with the Capital Planning & Development Capital processes.This position will provide leadership, guidance and support to the project team and interface with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MoHLTC), Infrastructure Ontario (IO), Central East Local Health Integration Network (CE LHIN), project consultants and Lakeridge Health staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: " Ensures that any change to the approved capital project budget is undertaken as part of the overall capital project change process." Prepares invoices in consultation with the Manager, Capital Budgets and Contract Administration for milestone payments by respective LH Foundations." Monitors capital project schedule to detect variances from approved schedule." Ensures that a robust capital project document management system is established and maintained for all assigned capital projects and that it complies with all requirements of LH Records Management and MoHLTC Capital Planning Process." Assists IO in the implementation of the Online Collaboration Project Management System for Alternative Financing Program project(s)." Assists in the preparation of the Post Construction Operating Budget for MoHLTC approved projects.QUALIFICATIONS:" Baccalaureate degree in architecture, engineering or equivalent post-secondary degree or diploma; or combination of education and work experience;" Minimum five (5) years recent, progressive experience in the health care sector or project management profession;" General knowledge of facilities / space planning of large complex facilities;" Strong leadership and team building skills to achieve organizational goals; communicates with and motivates a team to achieve results;" Strong facilitating skills along with above average team building and negotiation skills to resolve conflict;" Excellent organizational and time management skills required to adjust to and meet unpredictable deadlines or changing priorities;" Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with medical/ administrative staff at various levels;" Impeccable judgement and above average creativity, ingenuity, tact and diplomacy;" Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Power Point and CAD considered an asset;" Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills;" Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Compassion, Innovation, Courage and Trust;" Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education sessions;" Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
