Non-UnionStrategy Management Consultant Program: Strategy & PerformanceStatus: Full Time Shifts: 8 hour days with some evenings/nightsLocation: Lakeridge Health Oshawa (with travel to other sites as necessary)Salary: $42.88 - $47.72 per hourFIle Number:1600000467POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy, the Strategy Management Consultant will play a lead role in strategy development, strategic planning and project management support for the hospital. The Consultant will work with clients to support the organization's goals through all stages of corporate strategy-based projects. The strategy consultant team will lead the development of the organization's annual goals and objectives and associated Balanced Scorecard and Program Scorecards.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:" Facilitate the development of the organization's strategic plan including research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, environmental scanning, and issues analysis " Communicate and engage all levels of the organization in the understanding and implementation of the strategic plan" Provide insight to the leadership team regarding the impact of environmental changes on strategic plans and initiatives" Coordinate the planning and development of the annual goals and objectives setting process at the organization and program levels" Coordinate the development and approval of the annual Quality Improvement Plan, (QIP)" Provide project management expertise to support to the execution, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting of strategic and organization-wide initiatives" Monitor the external environment to identify collaboration, funding opportunities and co-ordinate preparation of submissions." Provide project tools, resources and training that aid in development of Project Management capacity and skills amongst the leadership team" Work with project Sponsors and project teams to develop required monthly/quarterly project performance status updates, including variance analysis and recommended mitigation strategies/action plans " Communicate written and verbally with all levels of the organization regarding the status and achievements relative to the strategic plan, and strategic initiatives " Identify and coordinate research and publishing opportunities to showcase our achievements and results of project implementation. " Develop policies and plans to achieve strategic objectives" Develop and maintain the Corporate Calendar" Maintain excellent relationships with Managers, Directors and senior leadershipQUALIFICATIONS:" Undergraduate, Master's degree or recognized equivalent in Health Care or Business Administration (preferred disciplines);" Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent " 5 years recent, strategy development experience in a heath care environment" Advanced understanding of strategic and program planning processes " Demonstrated experience managing and executing complex strategic projects " Demonstrated expertise and experience related to research, indicators/performance metric development, monitoring and evaluation " Strategic and critical thinker, with strong facilitation and relationship building skills" Demonstrated ability to effectively train, coach and mentor teams and leaders" Highly developed judgement skills combined with tact and diplomacy;" Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships and to deal effectively with a wide range of diverse, interested and involved stakeholders;" Highly collaborative, teamwork oriented work style with ability to work independently with minimal supervision; " Excellent communications and presentation skills.
