To participate as a member of the Health Care Team and the Nursing Team. As an individual practitioner, to maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice. To maintain nursing records. Travel between Lakeridge Health sites required. To perform other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:* Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing);* Current B.C.L.S;* Updated nursing skills including Aseptic Techniques and Patient Assessment Courses;* Current Certificate in Medication Administration;* Experience caring for Nephrology patients;* Evidence of continuing education related to the requirements of the position;* Demonstrated commitment to maintain Reflective Practice Standard as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario;* Effective organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and teaching skills;* Ability to effectively prioritize work;* Proven communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families, physicians and colleagues;* Physically capable of performing the duties of the position in order to lift, turn, transfer patients manually and with mechanical aids;* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety andparticipation in regular in-service education in this area; and* Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.SALARY: $27.84 - $29.09 per hourCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified CUPE Service staff throughout Lakeridge Health.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and C.U.P.E Local 1999 (Service Bargaining Unit).Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
