Lakeridge Health continues to strive to be a high performing organization and the Healthiest Hospital Workplace in Ontario.The Vice President, Human Resources (VP) will provide senior level strategic direction and oversight for the paid employees who work at Lakeridge Health (LH). This includes, but is not limited to, the Human Resource operations of the organization, and the leadership and management of the functional departments within the portfolio. The Vice President will also take leadership in advancing engagement strategies for all paid staff, as well as for privileged staff, advising our Chief of Staff and Chiefs. Furthermore, the incumbent will be expected to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of management and medical leadership training and performance programs.Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of Senior Management Team, the VP will work collaboratively with the leadership team, physician leadership, staff, physicians and the Board of Directors to champion a culture of excellence every moment, every day by creating a strategic and operational Human Resources plan that supports LH's ambitious goals for patient care and for physician and staff engagement. The VP HR contributes to the leadership direction that ensures that stakeholders, including healthcare partners, the community, donors and volunteers have confidence in LH's direction and performance. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES*Manages key stakeholder relationships with colleagues, physicians and staff, and external partners to ensure alignment and support for strategic directions and business initiatives;*Acts as an advocate for excellence in Human Resources Management throughout the organization;*Works closely with the Senior Management Team to keep them informed and to offer advice/direction;*Works with the Senior Management Team to create a service and performance delivery culture, including the development of key performance indicators and a strategic leadership development plan;*Directs the area of his/her accountability to ensure regulatory compliance;*Oversees the Human Resources, Wellness, Health and Safety, Organizational Development and Payroll functions;*Acts as a key liaison and supports the CEO in working with the Resources Committee of the Board;*Analyzes Human Resources trends and indicators to identify opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement;*Studies long-range socio economic trends and projects, organizations needs for staffing etc.;*Participates with the senior management team to develop an annual business plan; and*Leads and participates on various internal and external committees, as required.QUALIFICATIONSLH requires an accomplished, respected senior level human resources leader, capable of excelling in a large, complex, unionized, multi-stakeholder environment.*CHRL or SHRP designation;*Master's degree in business administration, human resources/industrial relations; *Demonstrated track record of leading change;*Significant experience in an executive human resources leadership role, ideally in a unionized healthcare environment;*Comprehensive human resources, labour relations knowledge and management skills;*Experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, preferably healthcare; and*Demonstrated ability to contribute both strategic and operational human resources leadership to delivering on organizational vision and strategy.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is open to all qualified staff throughout Lakeridge Health.Lakeridge Health thanks all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
