Non-UnionLAKERIDGE HEALTH Quality Improvement SpecialistFULL TIMEQUALITY, SAFETY AND PATIENT EXPERIENCELAKERIDGE HEALTH OSHAWAUN.EX. - 1400000212DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Director, Quality, Safety and Patient Experience; the Quality Improvement Specialist will provide ongoing coordination, support and leadership of organizational activities associated with but not limited to priorities such as Accreditation Canada ongoing readiness, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care quality and safety agenda. As a Quality Improvement Specialist you will implement and coordinate hospital clinical quality projects and efforts in collaboration with cross functional teams. Working with the Quality Specialist in her role as Accreditation Coordinator, this role will also support Lakeridge Health's aim to meet and exceed readiness for accreditation on an ongoing basis across all areas of the organization. The Quality Improvement Specialist will support the development and implementation of appropriate monitoring and reporting mechanisms to verify and report on quality performance. You will have the opportunity to support the coordination and promotion of initiatives associated with the Lakeridge Health Quality Improvement Plan along with other exciting patient safety initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS:Member in good standing of a Province of Ontario regulated health care profession preferred; Baccalaureate education required, Masters level education preferredRecent clinical quality improvement experience (within last five years);Experience in project management and process improvement (certification preferred);Demonstration of ongoing commitment to continuing education and professional development; Knowledge of Province of Ontario health care quality agenda legislative requirements and initiatives; Demonstrated quality improvement planning and implementation effectiveness when involved in multiple stakeholder initiativesDemonstrated experience and competence in guiding teams in the use of data/information for quality improvementAbility to work with staff and leaders of a complex health care organization to bring about improvement Ability to lead, participate in and coordinate cross functional teams to achieve results Ability to function and collaborate effectively within and across interdisciplinary teams; Demonstrated ability to coordinate and successfully set priorities while managing multiple initiativesProven effectiveness in all forms of communication; Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and team building skills; and Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service sessions.SALARY: $ 44.45 - 48.53 per hourCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with Lakeridge Health's policies and procedures.Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process as required under Lakeridge Health's Employment Accommodation policy.
