Supported by a talented team of more than 7,700 physicians, nurses, health care professionals and volunteers across five hospital sites, a Long Term Care facility, and multiple off-site locations, Lakeridge Health is working with partners to create an integrated health system that supports people to achieve their best health.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced leader with vision, initiative, and strategic thinking to join our Lakeridge team as Manager, Total Rewards.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:As an integral member of the Human Resource Leadership team, and reporting to the Director, Human Resources and Occupational Health, the Manager, Total Rewards will be responsible for oversight of the compensation, pension & benefits team. As an experienced, strategic leader and innovative leader, the Manager, Total Rewards will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the organization's compensation program and operations, and will maintain and deliver the pension and benefits program. The Manager will build strong and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners and will support the effective delivery of HR services with a focus on best practices and customer service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:" Ensures that the Compensation programs meet regulatory compliance and governance/audit requirements and ensure that they are aligned with the strategic direction and business objectives of Lakeridge Health; " Oversees the job evaluation program and acts as lead on compensation matters; " Ensures that pension and benefit plans are administered in accordance with legislation, hospital policy, collective agreements and plan documents;" Provides input into the overall budget for benefits to address strategic benefit issues, plan design and cost containment;" Supports the Total Rewards team with: administration of the Benefits plans, the contract renewal process, analysis of monthly financial reports, annual audits etc.; " Collects and analyzes data and metrics to make recommendations for program improvements;" Represents department or functional area through participation on corporate task forces, working groups and committees" Manages the Total Rewards team to ensure that organizational stakeholders are provided with timely and effective support, and;" Participates in the planning, development and implementation of programs, policies and processes in support of Lakeridge Health's Human Capital/People PlanQUALIFICATIONS:" University degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent education and work experience in a related field; " CHRL Designation, CCP, or CBP preferred;" Five years of progressive experience with a strong background in human resources functions, policies, and practices, compensation & benchmarking, pension, benefits, and managing in a unionized environment, preferably within a broader public sector environment. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred; " Extensive knowledge of employment-related legislation including Human Rights Code, Labour laws, Occupational Health & Safety legislation, Employment Standards Act, etc.;" Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively and persuasively while maintaining a high degree of professionalism; " Ability to lead a team, create a collaborative working environment and support successful change management;" Broad understanding of HR system functionality including but not limited to payroll, compensation and benefits; " High degree of proficiency in all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word);" Knowledge/experience with Virtuo HR and Meditech Payroll/Personnel software;" Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage related projects; " Demonstrated ability to prepare statistical and descriptive reports, iinvestigate facts, analyse and synthesize information;" Must have satisfactory performance record;" Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;" Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area; and;" Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the recruitment and assessment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
