Leveraging a strong background in board governance, the Manager will lead governance change and transformation and be responsible for ensuring the integration and coordination of all governance relations. " Foster relationships with Board of Trustees and Committee members and identify emerging operational, reputational and governance issues" Develop and manage the governance structure and lead the Board appointment process" Manage all logistical activities and develop all supporting documentation and follow up materials for Board and Committee meetings " Develop Board and Committee work plans and implement with executive leads (VP/EVPs)" Plan, develop and lead Board education, training and onboarding of new Board and Committee members" Write and prepare all Board documentation, correspondence, memoranda, reports and presentations" Lead the development and execution of "best-practice" governance policies and procedures" Support the implementation of core annual Board processes and programming including Board evaluation and Annual General MeetingQUALIFICATIONS:" Post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience in a senior administrative role." Minimum of five years of senior executive administrative/Board experience in a hospital or public sector organization." Flexibility in hours of work to accommodate board meetings and events and regular day-to-day operational hours. " Excellent business writing skills to ensure well-formatted, concise and accurate meeting records and correspondence." Excellent proficiency at minute taking and in the use of all Microsoft Office Products" Superior attention to detail, strong event planning and time management skills." Strong organizational and project management skills including a working knowledge of practices and processes related to hospital administration and Boards. " Able to work cooperatively with a broad range of individuals and act with tact and diplomacy at all times." Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when disseminating information to others." Able to work independently with limited direction as well as working collaboratively with a team of executive assistants. " Results and action oriented."
