Lakeridge Health will be implementing a new Clinical Information System, EPIC, in December 2021. We are hiring approximately 250 EPIC Support Staff on a temporary basis for approximately 3 to 5 weeks to support the implementation of this exciting project.What are EPIC Support Staff?Supporting Lakeridge during the implementation of EPIC, EPIC Support Staff are trained, skilled and dedicated users that will serve as a just in time resource to end users. This role will provide on-one-one support to new users in departments across all Lakeridge Health sites and will act as a liaison between end users, department leaders and the project team.What do EPIC Support Staff do? Before Go-Live (end of November)" Complete the EPIC Support User Training Path" Gain a detailed understanding of the system " Support the Credentialed Trainers during in-class training sessions" Assist with testing as required" Serve as a project advocate to generate enthusiasm and excitement for the change.During Go-Live (Beginning December 3rd)" Provide "at-the-elbow" go-live support for users in assigned department" Participate in problem identification and resolution, escalating issues as necessary" Reinforce and validate standard workflows and best practices" Be approachable and available to mentor staff with applications" Communicate information and changes to end users as required" Prioritize patient care and safety at all times" Remain positive and upbeat through challenging times.What training will be providedTraining for EPIC Support Staff will take place the end of November and includes:1. Orientation to Lakeridge Health2. User training on the Epic System3.
