Together, this team enables the collection, organization, standardization & protection of key health information to promote internal & provincial analyses for quality improvement, performance, planning & to inform financial allocations.As Lakeridge Health advances our analytics capacity, we are redesigning our Decision Support portfolio to establish distinct data engineer, data literacy, program consultant & methodological leadership roles. Further, with the implementation of a new Clinical Information System on the horizon, the availability of rich data will soon grow exponentially. Our Analytics & BI team is seeking a Methodologist & Sr. Decision Support Consultant to help us achieve our vision. The primary responsibilities of this role will include leading, designing & delivering analytics products for cross-program and corporate-level priorities. With methodologic expertise, the Sr. Consultant promotes scientific rigour while operating within a fast-paced hospital environment. The successful candidate will have an indirect leadership accountability within the team, with accountabilities to support Associates & Consultants in methodological applications & program-level implementation. The Sr. Consultant will interact with a diverse group of experts, including our Senior Leaders, those in Information Technology, Analytics, Coding, Clinical Informatics, as well as our clinicians and administration teams.Here's what you'll get to do:o Lead the development and delivery of analytics solutions supporting cross-Program, corporate, and priority-level projects & initiativeso Provide advanced analytics leadership, as required, for specific corporate applications, including in the fields of measurement, prediction, projection & evaluationo In collaboration with the Data Engineer, Manager, Decision Support Consultants & Associate, develop effective end-to-end workflows from request to delivery & maintenanceo Champion standardization, rationalization & documentation of new and existing solutionso As a subject matter expert, identify opportunities for methodological, report or alignment improvementso Co-lead the integration of advanced analytics services into operations (for example, machine-learning, predictive analytics, NLP, etc.)o Attend relevant meetings, courses or workshops as needed.Education and Experienceo Bachelor of Science, Health Informatics, or similar degree is required. Masters or higher-level education an asset.o 5 years of experience working in a data or analytics services or equivalent role, or combination of experience and graduate-level education. Experience in a Decision Support or Health System Analytics role preferred.o Applied experience and education in advanced analytics methodologies (including prediction & projection)o Excellent working knowledge of clinical informatics systems, hospital or health system datao Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel)o Significant experience and expertise with Microsoft PowerBI an asset o Knowledge of a statistical programming language (R, SQL) an asseto Knowledge of FHIR/HL7 indexing an asseto Demonstrated creativity and latitude in problem solving.
